Leah M. Edelstein is an Associate at Wapner Newman and has been a member of the firm since 2021. She has been honored by the Legal Intelligencer for her unwavering commitment to excellence, earning her a coveted position among the “Lawyers on the Fast Track.” She earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Delaware in 2018 and her law degree from Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law in 2021. While at Villanova, Ms. Edelstein was a member of the Student Bar Association and ultimately served as President for the 2020-2021 term. Additionally, Ms. Edelstein was a competitor for the Villanova Law Moot Court Board, competing in several national competitions on behalf of Villanova Law, and worked as the Board’s Director of Recruitment & Alumni Relations for the 2020-2021 year. She is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
While in law school, Ms. Edelstein clerked for the Honorable Arnold L. New in the Philadelphia Court of Commons Pleas—Civil Division—with an emphasis on assisting in mass torts litigation. Ms. Edelstein also spent significant time interning in the area of Plaintiffs Personal Injury while attending Villanova and now focuses her practice on Plaintiffs Medical Malpractice at Wapner Newman.
Ms. Edelstein is a fourth-generation attorney practicing law in the city of Philadelphia where her family has been practicing since the 1920s. She currently serves on Villanova Law’s Young Alumni Executive Board. She was born and raised in South Jersey and now lives in Center City Philadelphia with her husky, Roux, who is named after former Captain Claude Giroux of the Philadelphia Flyers. When not involved in the practice of law, you can find her at the Wells Fargo Center cheering on the orange and black!
