Wapner Newman Files Lawsuit Against Parx Casino for Negligent Security

Wapner Newman has filed a lawsuit against Parx Casino on behalf of a 71-year-old man – a guest of the Casino – who the lawsuit contends was brutally assaulted and robbed around 2:30 in the morning on October 1, 2022.


Wapner Newman Retained in Pottstown Home Explosion

Wapner Newman, a Philadelphia personal injury firm, has been retained by a Pottstown, PA, family following the deadly explosion of their home on May 26, 2022. Four children and their grandmother were killed in the explosion. Two other adults in the home were seriously injured and remain hospitalized.

Firm Partner, Jarad L. Silverstein, to Present CLE (continuing legal education) on “Practice in the New Jersey Superior Court for the PA Practitioner 2021” through the Pennsylvania Bar Institute (PBI)

There are unique challenges for the Pennsylvania attorney practicing in a different jurisdiction in New Jersey. Jarad, along with other distinguished colleagues, will provide instruction on specific filings, discovery, rules of evidence, rules of civil procedure, and motion practice in NJ Superior Courts that differ greatly from Pennsylvania civil procedure. The course will also address common mistakes to avoid in both the pre-trial and trial settings. The practice areas receiving special focus will be auto law, premises liability, and medical malpractice. The course is offered online on October 26, 2021 from 9:00 am – 1:15 pm.
